Dual-accreditation Officially Renewed with OptiMed Health Partners

OptiMed Health Partners celebrates its achievement of a fourth consecutive ACHC accreditation term and its third consecutive URAC accreditation term. Since 2012, OptiMed has put its practices to the test by undertaking the accreditation review process. "Undertaking the accreditation process demonstrates our commitment to upholding and improving outcomes throughout the health care landscape. It's a noble pursuit. It's also a process that requires adherence to URAC's and ACHC's rigorous standards, as well as time and energy," states Jessica Land, Pharm.D., Quality Manager.

"Many payers and manufacturers require one or both accreditations to work with a specialty pharmacy, so although it is a noble pursuit, it is important and essential to do to stay in business. Accreditation is not a rubber stamp; it's an achievement OptiMed can be proud of." - Jessica Land

By achieving accreditation, OptiMed demonstrates its commitment to providing the highest-quality service through compliance with national regulations and industry best practices. Successful achievement of this designation is the result of all the efforts that each and every employee contributes to the organization every day. It is the collective effort of carefully designed and upheld processes. OptiMed's team has persevered to develop and maintain quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, and clinical patient care programs that dovetail to optimize the patients' health outcomes and quality of life.

The ACHC re-accreditation survey for ambulatory infusion center, infusion pharmacy, and specialty pharmacy services (three business lines) was conducted on August 19 and 20, and full pharmacy accreditation was awarded on Sept. 7, 2021. The three-year term is effective Aug. 21, 2021, through Aug. 20, 2024.

The URAC reaccreditation survey was conducted November 2 and, after the rigorous desktop review period that occurred over summer 2021, full accreditation for the Specialty Pharmacy, Version 4.0 Program was awarded on Nov. 16, 2021. The three-year term is effective December 2021 through December 2024.
